As the nation celebrates the Royal wedding celebration, the National Pension and Provident Fund would also like to join the celebration by wishing long and happy lives to the King and the Royal Bride. To commemorate the Royal Wedding, the National Pension and Provident Fund is pleased to launch a new loan product, the Student Loan Scheme to benefit those eligible students who need financial support to pursue further studies.
Towards supporting the Royal Government’s policy that higher education is equally accessible to all deserving students, students will be granted the student loan to a maximum amount of Nu. 500,000 for a period of 15 years guaranteed by a member. The interest rate has been kept at 8% p.a during the study period and 9 % p.a after employment. The student can opt to repay the loan one year after the completion of his/her studies or six months after employment, whichever is earlier.
